Automated voice analysis is booming, but humans have been communicating for a thousand years.

They are experts: fast, efficient, coherent. But also counterintuitive.

My project

I believe understanding the way humans process their social and emotional environment is key to take further speech based technologies. Evidence-based innovation can pave the way to more efficient systems.

About Cyrielle

A researcher at heart, I have always been passionate about technology and how science can fuel innovation to make us grow as a society. Early on in my studies, I worked towards better understanding what makes language human. After a master in affective and cognitive psychology in which I wrote my thesis on memory biases for emotional voices, I started my academic career with a PhD at the university of Geneva. My research aimed at identifying vocal markers of attitudes (complex emotions), or personality traits.

About Cyrielle

My goal

My goal is to take the skills I have acquired in the domain of person perception and take them to improve human-centered interactions, by putting the human back in the equation

My goal

I developped 300ms' web platform both for entertainment and as a real-life application to demonstrate the complexity of interactions. It highlights the environmental and motivational factors that humanize interactions, and can take technology further.
